The Permanent Exhibition of the Treasures of the San Bartolomeo Abbey

Opened in 1999 in the parish house of the Abbey, the exhibition aims to highlight and promote the testimonies of the presence of the Benedictines, active in the territory since the 10th century. A first section exhibits the liturgical vestments of abbots and bishops who have succeeded each other throughout the different periods; in crystal cabinets crosses, ostensories in gold and silver are preserved, numerous ex-votive offerings. Other liturgical equipment, dating from the XVII century to the present period, is on display inside the Church of San Bartolomeo. There is also an archaeological section with Picena, Roman and Byzantine exhibits and a naturalistic collection with malachological and entomological findings.
