The Association Compagnia delle Opere, following in the wake of the presence of Catholics in the Italian society and in the light of the social doctrine of the Church, promotes and protects the possibility of a dignified presence of people in the social context and in everybody's work, not withstanding the presence of work and companies in society, favouring the idea of the market and its rules, which are able to understand and respect a person in their every aspect, dimension and /or moment of life. (art. 1 Statute)

The aim of the Association Compagnia delle Opere is not only the protection of its members, but the build up of a presence in the world, to set oneself in motion, to become involved regarding the necessity. In this sense the Compagnia delle Opere values those who are active: whoever is active has a place within us.

It is profoundly correct that the principle of value resides in a company. To be valued means to become conscious, to become knowledgeable of the value and of the positiveness that one's own person is, with regards to ourselves, to our friends, to one's family, with regards to time and to history. The only place where this conscience becomes possible and affirms itself is in a companion, a friendship.
