The public library was founded in 1939 and named after the clinician Gino Pieri, it reaches 70,000 volumes, quite a considerable figure within regional panorama of libraries. In 2006, between donations and purchases, 8,000 volumes were acquired by the "Pieri" Library, therefore a definitely high rate of growth, in terms of new publications available to the users. Equally important numbers relate to library-goers and those who request to borrow books: both reaching around 9,000 units.
