Nel 2019 la Società Cooperativa Sociale La Sorgente, grazie ad una collaborazione con l’Associazione Wega e la Cooperativa sociale Eureka, partecipa al bando POR MARCHE FESR 2014/2020 ASSE 8 – OS 22 - AZIONE 22.1 –INTERVENTO 22.1.1. Il progetto proposto “La Terra che cura” viene approvato dalla Regione Marche. Il territorio di riferimento del progetto si trova all’interno dell’area del cratere e comprende parte del Parco Nazionale dei Monti Sibillini, le alte valli dell’Aso e del Tenna. La continua diminuzione della popolazione residente, la struttura demografica nettamente sbilanciata sulle persone anziane, la scarsa dinamicità dei movimenti migratori unita ai danni che ha comportato il sisma del 2016, hanno fatto sì che gli anziani che vivono all’interno del territorio continuino a vivere una maggiore difficoltà rispetto al resto della popolazione a causa delle criticità legate alla permanenza in luoghi e spazi che hanno subito profondi mutamenti rispetto al passato, rendendo particolarmente difficile la loro quotidianità.
Gli obiettivi principali del progetto della Cooperativa La Sorgente sono due:
• valorizzare, grazie a nuovi contenuti multimediali, il patrimonio artistico, culturale e paesaggistico del territorio attraverso la collaborazione degli anziani e delle comunità;
• ampliare le attività della cooperativa, attraverso innovativi servizi sociali di supporto e cura, finalizzati all’inclusione sociale e alla promozione dell’invecchiamento attivo, rendendo il territorio più inclusivo per la popolazione anziana residente e più attrattivo per i turisti di terza età (silver tourism).
“Ti racconto la storia” vuole mettere al centro la comunità locale: gli anziani diventano i veri protagonisti del progetto riappropriandosi di spazi di condivisione e raccontando la loro storia ma anche la storia del loro paese. La pratica narrativa è il tentativo di mettere un freno al diffuso isolamento in cui molti anziani si sono trovati, soprattutto dopo il sisma del 2016, cercando di creare uno spazio non solo fisico ma emotivo, uno spazio di prossimità in grado di instaurare un nesso tra narrazione e cura.
Lo scopo è quello di presentare al turista non un luogo da visitare ma un luogo da abitare diventando così un “cittadino temporaneo” , un membro a tutti gli effetti della comunità ospitante che si integra con i suoi ritmi e le sue storie.
Per farlo ci siamo avvalsi della collaborazione dell’agenzia di produzione video Sushi Adv. e del designer Riccardo Mecozzi, che hanno progettato e sviluppato l'applicativo, prendendo come luogo di riferimento il comune di Montelparo. Accedendo a luoghi ormai preclusi al pubblico a causa del sisma del 2016 e fotografandoli con tecnologia a 360°, li abbiamo restituiti attraverso dei visori per la realtà virtuale agli anziani stessi, i quali mentre osservavano quei posti ormai abbandonati raccontavano cosa fossero per la comunità di Montelparo.
Il turista o il curioso che si immergerà in questo tour virtuale vedrà dunque alcuni dei luoghi e monumenti più famosi di Montelparo nella loro attuale condizione, accompagnati però dai racconti degli anziani e da fotografie del passato.
Un viaggio virtuale ma romantico in ciò che rappresentano gli anziani per la comunità e in ciò che la memoria significa per un luogo.

In 2019 Social Co-op Company “La Sorgente”, thanks to the support of Wega Ass. and Eureka Social Co-op, responded to a call for tenders issued by Marche Region (POR MARCHE FESR 2014/2020 ASSE 8 - OS 22 AZIONE 22.1 -INTERVENTO 22.1.1). The proposed project “A healing land” (it. La terra che cura) is approved by the relevant committee of Marche Region.
The project target area is located within the 2016 earthquake-affected area, including part of Sibillini Mountains National Park and upper Aso and Tenna valleys.
In the aftermath of the 2016 disaster event, the increasing exodus of youngsters and families, combined with a lack of incoming migrations flows, has resulted in these small inland communities today being made up primarily of seniors, who clearly experience greater difficulties in everyday life than their younger counterparts, as they are unprepared to face these profound changes, both from a social and a logistical point of view.
The main objectives of “La Sorgente” social co-op project are twofold:
• through close cooperation with elderly people and the local community, to raise awareness about the artistic, cultural and landscape heritage of the inner Fermo area by means of new multimedia content;
• to expand the social co-op activities by means of new support and care services aimed at social inclusion, thus encouraging an active aging for the elderly and increasing the attractiveness of the area for the so-called silver tourism.
“Stories and history” (it. “Ti racconto la storia”) aims to emphasize the importance of local communities: more specifically, the elderly become prominent faces in the project, taking the floor and telling their own stories but also narrating the history of the village. The goal is to reduce the widespread isolation many seniors have been experiencing since the 2016 earthquake. The intention is not just to create a simple hangout, but to provide a space for collective memory and social identity, while taking care of the community.
The tourists will be offered not a place to visit, but a place “to live together”, through its stories and at its own tempo, thus becoming a real - though temporary - member of the local community.
The project's chosen site is the village of Montelparo, in Fermo’s province. In order to carry this out, we asked for the help of video production agency Sushi Adv. and designer Riccardo Mecozzi, who accessed places now closed to public - due to the earthquake-related damages suffered by the inner town in 2016 - and photographed them with the help of 360° technology. The elderly have then been given VR headsets, so that, while rediscovering the now abandoned sites, they could tell us the stories behind them.
Foreign tourist who will join the virtual tour will see some of the most important buildings and houses in their current state and learn about them through an original storytelling and exclusive pictures from the past.
Despite its virtual nature, this is a very touching journey into understanding the vital role of the elderly in preserving the collective memory of our communities.
